Waking up hours before the break of the dawn has become a habit now. When most sane people are finishing the last lap of their dreams, I am saying “Good Morning” to the cricket crazy nation! And, I like it!
The talk shows are fun. Sometimes even crazy. Today was one such day when I take on the radio joker role and entertain the listeners beyond the cricketing jargon and take them to the other side of the rockstars they admire.
The early morning show has some unique incentives. What I relish the most is watching the break of dawn from the top floor balcony of the new broadcasting house. The sun suddenly engulfs the vista of Lutyen’s Delhi – the Parliament House, Rashtrapati Bhawan, and a few more splendid government buildings. The autumn covered roads glimpse through green, red, and yellow of the flora all around.
The rare music of birds chirping resonates with the all-surmounting Gurbani floating from the Rakab Ganj Gurudwara, about two kilometers away.
I soak it all in with solitude or a few soulful conversations and sip it with the early morning tea.
