
The silver doves of Indian Air force cut the sky like a razor blade and left us spectators feeling – alive. It was at the full dress rehearsal of the Republic Day parade. That was the moment that I was there for, waiting since morning. Waiting for the jets to tear across the sky, come as if connected through invisible ink and then suddenly break away and swing and twist and turn, take a nose dive and then fly away into the vast. The adrenaline rush brushing off me for that one living minute.
The crowd was up on its feet, jumping and cheering. Looking up to the wide open, civilians and uniformed – thrilled alike.

is it because i know you so well that pics you take start looking better than a similar pic elsewhere? Why does the smoke appear even more woolly? why does it feel like you are a part of the flying machines? why are you talking through these pictures…?
